Temperature Correction of Deflections and Backcalculated Elasticity Moduli Determined from Falling Weight Deflectometer Measurements on Asphalt Pavements

The evaluation of the bearing capacity asphalt pavements is usually performed by analysing deflections measured a Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD). deflection changes with pavement temperature. In necessary to consider thermal gradient and perform temperature correction. article contains an analysis effects on FWD results long-term monitored sections. correction was or back-calculated elasticity moduli. moduli recalculated 20 °C according both procedures were similar. Comparison determined recalculation from bowls at °C, has proven smaller differences for bowl corrected °C.
